CERES Computer Café: What’s in a page? The inner workings of the web

Much information is available on the web, either because data is published online, or because the web itself is studied as a source. In order to make use of this information in a structured way beyond browsing, a basic understand of how the web works and how a website looks “from the inside” is required. This session will introduce basic principles of the web and its data structures (HTML, XML, JSON).
