CERES Computer Café: Creating a Digital Edition from Scratch

Creating editions of historical texts is a core exercize of philological work. Recent developments have lead to tools and standards that make it easier to create, publish, and archive digital editions. The digital workflow has conceptual advantages that go beyond publishing editions online. Using the example of an Arabic manuscript, Frederik Elwert will introduce basic concepts and tools for creating digital editions.
